Collection of the Museum Bali
Planned in 1910, and originally called the Bali Museum, building for the Museum began in 1927. The Museum was opened to the public in 1932. Walter Spies and Rudolf Bonnet assisted in acquisitions and helped make the Museum a 'clearing house' for Balinese art before the establishment of Pita Maha. One of the most import directors in recent times has been I Putu Budiastra, who launched a dynamic acquisition, documentation and exhibition policy.
